-STILLNOTDEAD On MySpace!! (RIP Luke Warm!)

Stillnotdead.com was formed in late 2007 as a direct result of a local news story that accused Charlotte of having no local music. The news piece was a slap in the face to anyone who has stayed up all night and spent their hard earned money to drink cheap beer and watch their favorite local band tear up a small stage in a smokey club. After seeing the story Ryan McGinnis, who previously ran the Milestone Club in the mid nineties and played in Charlotte punk band My So-Called Band from 1998-2005, decided that the problem with the scene isn't that there is no scene, rather, it's that no one knows about most of it. So he bought a book on building websites and set out to build a resource to be used by both fans and local bands.
Stillnotdead.com debuted in late December 2007. It features reviews, show previews, band reviews, cd reviews, large picture galleries and news all about the local scene, centered in, but not limited to, the Charlotte music community. The site is constantly growing and updating and looking for new ways to help the music community. If you are interested in contributing through pictures or writing please email us. This site as well as the music scene could not exist without the participation of people who love music and want to keep it alive.
