About Me

I am a singer-songwriter, born in Manhattan and proud to be a Brazilian-Italian child of music.My parents were both musicians in a band they created called Rio Beat.Til I was 12 years old.Growing up with Brazilian rhythems jammin below my bedroom became a huge inspiration for growing creatively and persuing music,dance, and performing arts. Singin some traditionally soulful styles in a few different projects currently on the go; all about colaborating, so that leaves me open to experiment with all types of music. I like RnB, Hip Hop, Reggeaton, Soul, Funk, Brazilian rhythems,Breaks,House,etc..(uplifting music)..... Locally I've met some really good performers to network with. Shout out to my boy Thai and Tony from The West Coast Funk Mob, and BreadnButta, thanx for the extra push.Through the network of Squamish I was linked up with a wicked Dj by the name of .......AnDruid (AKA Drew),spinnin a killer mix of Hip Hop,House beats and anything that sounds thick with bass!!! Songs such as Stilleto, and "Its Worth It"... in progress work we did together.Big thanx also to my sound engineer Josh Stone who was on board mixin as well. The song Uhuh, and RoadTripJazz are 100% mine. I wrote, recorded and produced the beat for the first time.......New track was done in T.O. at Wellesley Sound by Jeff McChollic... entitled "SLowDown". Song writing ,vocals and gutaire all by yourstruly...Also the song "Freaks" was recorded,and produced in (.(J 5's)Kent Hitchcock's) studio in California.Thank you to everyone who believes in me and has shown suport , even if its just to listen, cheers. Influences: The love of harmony and soulful music in general comes from deep in my childhood memories. Bossa Nova is a huge influence which I am relearning and nostalgically recalling. A more modern influence that is very inspiring to me, as a female vocalista, is Esthero. My list of myspace friends is a tell all answer to this question. The old url Myspace.com/adrianarachel I am slowly transfering over all my "freinds" etc.... UK love to my Brazillionaire friend Amon Tobin! NUmark in L.A. and Kemo in Van. Sounds Like: Hopefully sounds like Lostnsoundz... Nothing you’ve ever heard before, I hope. Honestly my songs are getting closer by the day, to the sound I here in my head ,but is all very green and fresh. Mixing process takes things out of my hands.Only time will tell... where its going next? I’m sound searching, open to ideas.
