About Me

I bet I can make you laugh, only b/c I usually am. Smoothies are a specialty of mine, along with my sweet tea. I like to make sound effects, but don't notice that I'm doing it until other people point out what I'm doing. I once saw a job offer in Hawaii for a SFX creator for video games, but you had to know how to speak Japanese. I think what I would really like to be doing is making voices for cartoons, but instead I while away my hours doing sensible, steady things, like working overnights in public affairs television programming... width="425" height="350" ..

My Interests

My interests run far and away. As far as the ones I actually pursue, you can usually find me on the Mt. Vernon Trail huffing away on my bike. My favorite run is the Belle View Marina to Roosevelt Island. I am *not* one of those totally toned people that you see wearing all spandex on their racing bikes. I haven't been dancing in a while, but I do like to shake it if the beat is right and I've got my drink on. Other than that, you can also find me at the pool, but bring your snorkel b/c I love to swim underwater.

I'd like to meet:

Somebody with a little panache. But you don't have to be as cute as Pompom Purin!!!

Music:

I like a whole slew of different things, from opera to rap to classical to electronica. Usually pretty willing to give most things a listen.

Movies:

Netflix has taken over my movie world. Let me just say. My queue is a huge hit and miss morass, but I love it! Most recently loved Shortbus, Brick and Samurai Deeper Kyo.

Television:

How hot are The Girls Next Door? I love Kendra, Holly and Bridget and all their crazy ways. Puffin!

Books:

My mama-san gave me Sherlock Holmes stories for Christmas, and I love my cocaine-shooting man. The stories usually end with some quote in various Classical/Romance languages, so I have had to call in my multilingual friends to translate.

Heroes:

Sunny Beaudelaire and JK Rowling. Puddleglum and his big frog feet.
