The Titanic Syncopators

About Me

The star of the Titanic Syncopators is Peta Webb, one of greatest and most versatile singers of classic old songs in the UK. Her numerous solo projects, duet collaborations and memberships of innovative groups and bands (in various genres) have resulted in many published recordings and albums.
With the Titanic Syncopators Peta sings a range of distinctive songs from the 1920s and 30s, selected for their striking melodies and evocative lyrics, most of which are well known and loved, though we have found some less frequently performed items which our audiences enjoy. Among others we like the music of Fats Waller, the Gershwins, and Walter Donaldson, and people say we "sound authentic like old records" (which we take as a compliment); but we are not deliberately trying to imitate other bands. What we do is what we do.
This is some of the best music for parties, dances, weddings, and all social occasions. We provide cabaret performances, play for dancing, or just keep things going with a swing. We provide our own amplification, suitable for most venues, which can also be used by organisers for announcements and speeches.
