I’m Sophia Christina Chambers, not am I only a singer, who has been given the slogan as ‘the other voice’ due to my unique and powerful voice, but I’m also a songwriter, model, graphics designer, writer and my own manager. So what do I have that’s so special compared to the other thousands of wannabe 17 year old acclaimed singer/songwriters? Each and every one of my songs has been completely one hundred percent written by me. I started from the age of 10, writing song after song,Loving the way I could use music and words to express emotion, people and events I have witnessed, which I love sharing, I love being creative. I decided I wanted other people to hear and listen to my work. So, at the age of 14, I began distributing my accapella tracks on the web, and shortly recieved a team of producers, who wanted to create a new different dance/house track. This was to become 'Constantly'. After releasing the track, 'Constantly' it recieved numerous spotlights and brilliant recommendations across the web. Such as Mixsposure, Mp3Unsigned, Isound, MySpace & Bebo. It also, began my exciting journey into the world of singing and songwriting tracks. Constantly, in 2006, was featured on Kiss100's and Smash hits podcast sponsored by Simens BenQ. Then, I was interviewed by the press, with an interview into the track and it's and my sucess online. And finally, the track reached me with my songwriting to becoming a nominee for Doncaster Young Person of the Year Award! A great achievement for me, and an honour from my hometown.
I've had five years of dancing trainning, including: ballet, tap, character and street. As well as vocal coaching, and verse speaking classes, for which after only 3 lessons, I won third prize at the Mexbrough Festival and an honours award in verse speaking. I also indulged in two very special trainning sessions in singing and acting in London, from the casts of the two brilliantly sucessful musicals The Lion King and We Will Rock You.
Finally, at 15, I began working and writing my debut album, now intitled 'False Precautions'. After a while, teaming up with the fabulous producer of Frequency Studios, Martyn Stonehouse. Creating numerous hits, The Things That U Do and Unfaithful. I look forward to going out into the other aspects of performing and entertaining including acting and modelling, for 2007. So.. the future seems bright!
I know I'm young, but I believe this is my destiny and to all you record producers, A&R's and everyone else, but believe me I WILL MAKE IT!!! Just you keep watching, I will be there!!!
