Kid Money KG got his name at a young age because as a kid he always had money on him, which seemed far fetched to most but it never seemed that way to him. Kid Money KG, born KG Mosley, always had a strong work ethic that allowed his hustle to come across all walks of life – good, bad and ugly.
This type of life experience gives this St. Louis native the ability to relay message of authenticity and integrity. His music does what music is supposed to do – tell a story. He uses his hooks as the subject and the verses only compliment that. Living in the South allows his music to have a crunk influence, but still keep the smooth rawness of rappers like UGK, Slick Rick and Snoop Dogg. Anyone can go into a booth and spit some rhymes and metaphors, but to him the quality of the music is tainted. He feels that “it’s not about trying to out brag the next man, it’s about out bragging yourself.â€
This self induced bravado gives you tracks like “50 Feet†and earned him verses on successful tracks like Jay Dogg’s “Lean In the Nookie Remix†and Acafool’s “Hatablockas.†He rose above the ranks with the Ronnie Notch produced “Drinks On Me.†Currently he’s hit the world with a double dose with the release of “Trunk Beat†which features Young Dro and the sexually charged “Legs Up.â€
Because Kid Money KG reigns from the Show Me State, he is beyond willing to show you that his music speak volumes.
