Being a mommy, being a wife, my friends and family, movies, music, reading, cheesy tv shows, and much, much more.
Let's first define the term "meet": people I'd like to chat with on-line. I'd love to chat with people who are real, down-to-earth, fabulous beings. I'm always up for getting to know new folks as long as they are tolerant and have some tact.
My musical tastes range from cumbia all the way to country. I love hard house, nu-metal and hip-hop. I can't live without some good punk-rock or hardcore and never go far without something classic like Billie Holiday. I like local bands, underground artists and famous, popular "stuff". I'm quite the music snob...if I don't love it, I usually don't like it either.
I've seen too many bad movies. I'd like some more good ones to come out. Donnie Darko was really good, something unique that wasn't really main-stream. I really enjoy horror...Freddy Krueger is my hero and Jason can bite me. Romantic comedy is a genre I could seriously live without. I'm not a fan of crying for sport. I love a good scare or mind fuck.
I stopped watching TV for over a year before I met my wife. She's still on me to get a TV for the bedroom but I don't want one. I really watch more TV than I'd like too and can cop to it. I thought I'd watch less TV when the baby came, I watch more...but I start work next week so I'll be watching less.
I love to read. I can be found at the library with stacks of books, ready to take them home. I love mysteries, non-fiction, religion...you name it and I've probably at least picked it up. I seriously read about 2-3 books at a time (not literally...idiot!). I'm currently reading The Five Love Languages and Natural Family Living.
What is a hero? For me, someone who lives their life in such a way that I can look up to and gain strength from. My grandmother was the biggest influence on so many areas of my life. I miss her all the time...too often sometimes.
