I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Who really wants to sit around and write about themselves? If you want to know stuff about me, just ask. I don't bite unless provoked or asked and I'm quite the conversationalist, so what are you waiting for?
You are Sir Didymus!! A Fearless and valiant
warrior who will fight to the death if you feel
strongly enough about it. Your friends rate
you very highly and so they should because you
are a loyal and wonderful person.

My Interests

Being a mommy, being a wife, my friends and family, movies, music, reading, cheesy tv shows, and much, much more.

I'd like to meet:

Let's first define the term "meet": people I'd like to chat with on-line. I'd love to chat with people who are real, down-to-earth, fabulous beings. I'm always up for getting to know new folks as long as they are tolerant and have some tact.

Music:

My musical tastes range from cumbia all the way to country. I love hard house, nu-metal and hip-hop. I can't live without some good punk-rock or hardcore and never go far without something classic like Billie Holiday. I like local bands, underground artists and famous, popular "stuff". I'm quite the music snob...if I don't love it, I usually don't like it either.

Movies:

I've seen too many bad movies. I'd like some more good ones to come out. Donnie Darko was really good, something unique that wasn't really main-stream. I really enjoy horror...Freddy Krueger is my hero and Jason can bite me. Romantic comedy is a genre I could seriously live without. I'm not a fan of crying for sport. I love a good scare or mind fuck.

Television:

I stopped watching TV for over a year before I met my wife. She's still on me to get a TV for the bedroom but I don't want one. I really watch more TV than I'd like too and can cop to it. I thought I'd watch less TV when the baby came, I watch more...but I start work next week so I'll be watching less.

Books:

I love to read. I can be found at the library with stacks of books, ready to take them home. I love mysteries, non-fiction, religion...you name it and I've probably at least picked it up. I seriously read about 2-3 books at a time (not literally...idiot!). I'm currently reading The Five Love Languages and Natural Family Living.

Heroes:

What is a hero? For me, someone who lives their life in such a way that I can look up to and gain strength from. My grandmother was the biggest influence on so many areas of my life. I miss her all the time...too often sometimes.

Days gone by

The last few weeks have been awful. I've been moody, grumpy, agitated and generally pissed off. My wife has been working nights which has been the bane of my existence. I have made a lot of headway in...

Thoughts...

So, in my head, the songs "Life's a dance" and "stellar" are playing interchangeably. About a month or so ago, I decided to finally put what school I graduated from on my myspace. Whooo hooo, whatever...

Do you ever wonder...?

Do you ever wonder what life would be like if you lived somewhere else? If you hadn't had that drink? If you'd never heard that song, read that book or taken that bus? I struggle often with "being her...

So, this morning I called my friend and asked if she wanted to go to coffee. She said sure, but that she had plans until around 3 and that she'd call me then. We finally left for Starshmuck's @ around...

Family...o'hana if you will...

I learned several years ago what the term o'hana meant, while I was on a "family" vacation in Hawaii. My uncle Ramsay told us about it during a sermon when he remarried my aunt and uncle. At that mome...

Will I ever learn??

I'm almost 27 years old. Why do I always give people the "benefit of the doubt"? What does that mean anyway? God, my heart hurts right now. One of my best friends is gone and now I find myself trying ...

So, here we are. I've been sitting here for an hour, trying to get this right, wanting to put this here, trying to get it out. I'm getting lost in the details and so I quit. I quit trying not to hurt ...
