Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) is a professional wrestling promotion based in Tampa, Florida. It is the developmental territory for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).History
The promotion, in it's current form, was started by Steve Keirn in 2007 to be WWE's second developmental territory when they ended their relationship with the Georgia-based Deep South Wrestling in early 2007 However it is now WWE's only developmental territory after they ceased their affiliation with Ohio Valley Wrestling in early 2008.FCW's debut show was on June 26, 2007 at the Dallas Bull in Tampa, Florida, at which Harry Smith became the first ever FCW Southern Heavyweight Champion by winning a 21 man Battle Royal. The next year they introduced the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship with a tournament, making Jake Hager the first champion by having him defeat Ted DiBiase, Jr. in the finals on February 15, 2008. The first FCW Florida Tag Team Champions were also crowned on February 23, 2008, with The Puerto Rican Nightmares (Eddie Colón and Eric Perez) defeating Steve Lewington and Heath Miller in a tournament final to win the title.FCW currently runs shows every Tuesday at Bourbon Street nightclub, as well as spot shows on other nights at other venues in and around the Central Florida area, and will soon begin broadcasting their own television program.DISCLAIMER: This myspace, www.myspace/theofficalfcwfansite, is not FCW's official website or myspace, but is just a fansite.
