Brantley's father, Jack Catlette taught Brantley to play the drums when he was ten years old. Jack played drums in the band "The Upstairs Alliance" with Jimmy Buffet in 1966. Brantley was in his first band "B.C. and the Cavemen" when he was in the sixth grade. Jack encouraged Brantley, his brother John, and his cousin Alan to learn 20 songs. When they did the Catlettes invited over 100 people to their delta home for a debut. After that night Brantley, John, and Alan were hooked. They played together for the next 10 years. Brantley started writing and recording originals on a Tascam 4 track recorder at the age of 16. When he was 17 his current band "the Moonshiners" recorded an album of all original songs at Easly Studio in Memphis TN. They played in Starkville MS on a regular basis, but The Moonshiners split up in 1999. Brantley became a Registered Nurse and has continued to write and record his own songs. Brantley moved to Los Angeles in 2006 where he recorded his self-titled record. While in LA, Brantley met Jay Tinsky who has recently signed him on Molly Malones Music Digital Record Label. He currently lives in the inspiring Mississippi Delta where he continues to write, record, and perform. For booking and more information
