CAROLINA FILK organization devoted to furthering the art of filk in
North and South Carolina .
Our mission is to give people more opportunities to perform, hear filkers
perform, exchange songs and improve their musical skills.
CAROLINA FILK
has no membership dues. Membership is by participation in the organizations
activities. Meetings called house filks are bi-monthly with plans on monthly
meetings as the membership grows.
Though now we gather mostly in St. Matthews , SC we are now starting to work on bringing house filks to
the Charlotte
NC area.
NEW: We are looking for a few places to hold an occasion house filks in both NC and SC. If you are interested in learning more please drop me an e-mail, [email protected] . All you need is an area that can seat about 20 people in a loose circle. We usually do a pot luck and sing until the first light or the host kicks us out *grin*.
