India, beads

About Me

India, Arts and beads, beads, beads... My name is Zsuzsanna Lázár, and I am also known as Káli Gopika. This name was given to me in India in 1998, when I was studying hindi language in Agra. Káli Gopika means Black Joy. Gopi (gopika)means:the wife of a cowherd, a herdgirl; milkmaid. In hindu mythology any of the herdgirls of Braj (who were in love with Krsna). I discovered the wonderful world of the beads in India.Threading beads is like a meditation for me.Mostly I create the pattern and the shape myself, and I chose the colours and the beads depending on momentary inspiration. I have also selected from my earlier works, and I keep refreshing the site with the new ones. Please feel free to ask questions and write me your opinion. Best Regards: Káli GopikaThanks for the visit!
