About Me

The Veritas would like to say thank you and a sad farewell to everyone who has helped with the veritas project. The people to be thanked in no particular order are: James Hannah, Leah Gorley, Barry Farquhar, Mark Farquhar, all the staff in the Star Hotel, Alan Harfield, Peter Nairne, Rory Baldwin, Scott MacPherson (senior), Nell Brydon, Margaret Crystal, the ICA, The Scottish Pronouncial Press, Lights Action, Stegg, Delta Sound, Hootananny's and all our friends and family. Thanks for your support and help.On Another sad note, but also a happy note for someone else. We would like to say a good bye to Aiden MacKenzie, singer of the Veritas. As of the start of 2009, Aiden will be moving to New York to persue his music career in music having made a good impression on the Yanks. So much so, they asked him back. Aiden your presence and professionalism will be very much missed. It has been a pleasure to work with you and we wish you all the best in the states and the best of luck with your music. Its great to see you doing what other people talk about doing but never do. Good luck and farewell. As a thank you to the people who like our music, we have added two more tracks as a goodbye to the site.P.s. A new begining, well what can I say!

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.bebo.com/theveritasuk
Band Members: Christopher Thom - Drums Graham Mackenzie - Lead Guitar Scott MacPherson - Bass / Vocals Steve Farquhar - Rhythm Guitar / Vocals
Influences: The Veritas have very clectic influences from The Artic Monkeys, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Young Knives, Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley, Pink Floyd to name just a few. There are many more to name but the list would go on.
Sounds Like: It would be hard to pinpoint our sound, perhaps the best way to describe it would be upbeat rock and roll with lyrics that tell a story of life, the truth, and everything in between.

EP Review

'The Truth'   - 4/5 Stars   The Veritas are a newish Highland band who worked on this five-track EP soon after they got together.  Vocals from Aiden Mackenzie are strong and opener...
