About Me

Hoaxwind are a seven piece tribute band playing the songs of the mighty space rockers, Hawkwind .
Playing tracks mainly from their ‘classic’ 70’s period, they recreate the sights, sounds and smells of their hypnotic and unpredictable live shows, creating a “rich and complex sound that bubbles, squawks, enchants, captivates, engulfs and rocks”.
Current set includes: Orgone Accumulator, Angels of Death, Master of the Universe, Ejection, Kerb Crawler, Brainstorm, Hassan I Sabha, Assault & Battery, Death Trap, Shot Down in the Night and, of course, Silver Machine, as well as many others.Hoaxwind are 99% unofficial.DO NOT WASTE TIME BLOCKING YOUR EARS DO NOT WASTE TIME SEEKING A SOUND PROOFED SHELTER
space rock (spe is rok) n. 1. born out of the late 1960s psychedelic movement, just as humans set foot on the Moon for the first time, space rock was invented by, and for, people who wanted to fly high but weren’t interested in using spacecraft to do their astral gazing. Blending sci-fi inspired lyrics and experimental instrument passages, dedicated to exploring the limits of inner & outer space. 2. Hawkwind
