About Me

Greetings, lads and lasses and welcome to my self absorbed, ego-centric web page, where you can find out all about little old me and all my cynical opinions that are usually safely locked up in my head. But, thanks to modern technology now I can burden the entire world with them, and thats where you come in. I digress, it is lovely to make your acquantance and feel free to drop me a line.....

My Interests

If it's indeed interesting, I am interested. But for now, I bide my time riding my bicycle, dancing latin, watching sunsets, exploring my surroundings, lending someone an ear, and struggling to control my quill atop my parchment, "nulla dies sans linea".

I'd like to meet:

Condaleeza Rice, and challenge her to an arm wrestle. It'd be fun to finish a bottle of SoCo with Janis Joplin, as well, or smoke a spliff with Jerry Garcia, or stroke Jim Morrison's hair, before he became beligerent, overweight, and addicted to heroine of course. Oh yes, and the Dalai Lama can't forget him.

Music:

ANYTHING WITH A BEAT!

Movies:

Ah yes, man's great melding of the arts, the cinema. I'm partial to Fellini, Kubrick and Hitchcock. When I'm feeling lighthearted, Peter Sellers usually does the trick. As for the new millenium, Tarantino remains the ultimate American filmaker. I'm not too sold on Hollywood, as of late, bit tired of billion-dollar budget films devoted to unpopular comic book characters, I understand the entertainment value if there is any but when considering how powerful and influential the genre of film is, it's a damn shame.

Television:

Books:

If you don't read, I command you to sign off from the god forsaken internet and find a book. Here's some suggestions, One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabrielle Garcia Marquez- best damn novel of the twentieth century. If you have too short of an attention here's some compilations of short stories I enjoy- Self-Help by Lorrie Moore, Because They Wanted To by a brilliant author whose name I don't recall. Everyone must take the time to experience Gonzo journalism, my current favorite is The Curse of Lono, which has just been reissued. Otherwise, read anything by J.D. Salinger, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Wolfe or Irwin Shaw.
