My story? Well, a normal person would be surprised to hear that two years ago, my best friend Lilly Kane, daughter of Jake Kane, was murdered. Said normal person would also be surprised to hear that my dad was recalled as Sheriff after his investigation into her death pointed to her father, head of the billion-dollar Kane Software company. It would be safe to say that hearing that my mother walked out, became an alcoholic, pretended to go into rehab, came back home to my father and I, and then disappeared again- with $50,000 that belonged to me would surprise that normal person as well.
Although I spent my junior year as Neptune High's resident recluse, being nearly friendless gave me plenty of time to investigate Lilly's death and my rape, along with a multitude of other cases for my dad's PI business as well as for friends. That normal person is really surprised right now. But they haven't even heard the start of my story.
Enter Veronica Mars, senior year at Neptune High. To summarize, a bus full of my classmates were murdered, my then ex-boyfriend was accused of killing a PCHer, Aaron Echolls was on trial for the murder of Lilly Kane, and to top it off, I was trying to get the Kane scholarship, a free pass to the college of my choice. Oh, it gets better. One of the kids on the bus, Meg Manning, was pregnant with my boyfriend's (Duncan Kane's) illegitimate love child. Her psychotic parents wanted to keep the baby as their own after Meg passed, but that wasn't happening. Duncan and baby Lilly went on the run. Aaron Echolls was found innocent, then mysteriously murdered. Logan was cleared of all charges, and I found the guy who blew up the bus.
I don't think life in Neptune will ever be normal.
