Christ is my strength and my song. I'm a 17 year old Latter-day Saint kid from Northern VA with a passion for life. I'm good at living. It's what I do best, in fact. I live full out, straight up, in the flush, no hesitations, give all I am till there's nothing left then stand back and watch with awe as God lifts my frail spirit with hands of mercy, love, and grace. PASSION is my air and water. It's my belief that every day is a gift from God and every moment is sacred; what I do and what I am are my true sacrifices...cause they're really all I have to give that's completely mine. I love jazz, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, loud instruments, the trumpet (Foul! Repetition! One-love), silent rooms, slurping yogurt, crepuscular skies, the IB programme, that sick feeling you get when you're falling, sleeping, praying, reading (anything in English, Spanish, Italian or other such Romantic derivatives), Jane Eyre, Absurdist Theater, Shakespeare, feeling humbled, and the color orange (melancholy? energized? fiery? spiritual? . . .) MOST of all, I love good people. I see good in everyone, so I guess that means I love everyone. I won't deny it. Curiosity, creativity, expression, understanding, passion, struggle, knowledge, and Peace: the sum of these in my life has been pure happiness and joy and love and life and the peace of God and humility, all with such splendor and simple totality as to give me the feeling of truly living in the Savior's presence -- "feeling comfortable in the presence of God." If you really want to know "about me" come talk to me. But, I warn ya, I somehow suspect I'll be the guy quoting literature at parties when I'm 35...Whatever! That's who I am! "Why not!" I ask. Why can't I love learning? Why can't I be passionate? Why not be creative and honest and curious and Spirit-driven and compassionate and ambitious and dedicated and confidant and intelligent? Why not?
