Hashimoto

One thing that makes Gordon Hashimoto cranky is using the third person when he has to write his own bio. "Makes it sound like a blasted infomercial" he once said. He sees nothing wrong with arbitrarily switching to the first person and I'd recommend it to anyone. I've heard that a great sculptor sees the work of art inside a solid block of rock and "frees" it. It makes me realize the way I approach songwriting is like putting a toaster and a lawn chair in the middle of a room and bashing them with a baseball bat, every two weeks for about four months. Then there's usually something workable. 2005 was a year of accomplishments. My band Hashimoto produced "Until We Turn Square"- our second CD. I also realized that "escape" is not pronounced "excape". Neither bassist Patrick Hamilton, drummer Eric Robitaille, nor I have any tattoos or piercings or have ever used the word "gazillion", which I guess means were from a different era.
