So check out the schedule.Stormbringer has been one of the top rated bands in the state of Florida for over twenty-two years. Stormbringer has been playing corporate events, clubs, and concerts, doing their own style of classic/concert rock and originals. The band has recorded four CD’s since 1990 and has done many other recording projects, including two with violin/vocalist Robby Steinhardt from the band Kansas. Special guests on their albums include: Irene Cara, Mike Scaglione from Gloria Estefan’s band, Phil Keaggy and Reginald Roundtree from channel 10 news and of course, Robby Steinhardt.For two years in a row, Stormbringer was part of the Charlie Daniels Angels Benefit Concert Series in Clearwater, Florida, in which the band performed on stage with Jon Anderson and Alan White of Yes, Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, and the legendary blues great Bonnie Bramlett. Stormbringer did a drum clinic at Full Sail School of Recording Arts in Orlando as Alan White’s band, playing Yes songs as well as songs from John Lennon and George Harrison. (Alan White was their drummer after the Beatles).Stormbringer has done many shows and concerts, including the St. Pete Rib Fest and Taste of Pinellas at Vinoy Park, concerts at Coachman Park in Clearwater, Bike Fest and Poker Runs in Daytona, the Florida State Fair grounds, and various events in St. Petersburg, Tampa and the Florida Keys. Opening act concert venues include: St. Pete Times Forum/Ice Palace in Tampa; concerts for the Stanley Cup playoffs; tailgate concerts for the Tampa Bay Bucaneers; Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater Florida; Van Wezel Hall, Sarasota Florida; and the National Guard Armory-Columbus Ohio.Stormbringer and its individual members have opened for many well-known acts: Yes, Grand Funk Railroad, Starship, Mr. Mister, the Doobie Brothers, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, Styx, Kansas, Charlie Daniels, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Cheap Trick, Blackfoot, Patti Smith, Bad Company, Paul Rogers, Donna Summer, Glen Frey, Edgar Winter, Cyndi Lauper, 38 Special, Eddie Money, KC and the Sunshine Band, Joe Lynn Turner, Roger McQuinn of the Byrds, B-52’s, Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springsteen, Greg Rolie of Santana and Journey, and U-2.Stormbringer started out in 1986 playing Mark Twain’s Night Club (The Power Club) in Tampa, and then went on the road around Florida and Georgia for a year and a half. In early 1987, a three piece band formed, playing local clubs and concerts.From 1990 to1996, Robby Steinhardt, violin/vocalist from the band Kansas, joined Stormbringer with a new line up becoming Steinhardt-Moon/Stormbringer. The band recorded two albums and performed many concerts and in clubs, including Pockets in St. Pete for eighteen months.Robby rejoined Kansas in 1996 and Stormbringer went about its way, touring the Tampa Bay area, Sarasota, New Port Richey, and also playing Pleasure Island at the Disney complex in Orlando Florida for 11 years. The band continues to record as well as play corporate events providing the best in classic rock and original material. The light show and sound is stellar, rivaling that of large concert acts. The band’s song list is extensive, doing Classic/Concert rock that no other band would attempt. Stormbringer has developed a name for being unique and versatile.
