An ardent lover of mischief and music, Nate Benfit, aka DJ Benefit, was born in 1981 and was raised by his mother. Grew up in a 2 bedroom apartment driving his mother and neighbors crazy playing his loud music till the wee hours of the morning. It wasn't till 1997 when he saw DJ Shadow open up for Redman, when he knew what he was going to do with his life. He bought his first set-up shortly after that concert.Over a decade later he is still at it. After rocking every club in town he decided to start his own entertainment company called Benefit Party Productions, specializing in everything from weddings to large events with the help of a fellow DJ, Danny Tellez. The duo have been very successful tag-teaming the scene for over a year, and will continue to do so for years to come.Benefit is a turntablist/party rocker that amazes crowds with clever, creative sets that make party goers and turntable enthusiasts want more. His own style is distinctive and his meticulous mixing skills are clean. He treats his listeners to a well thought out set of beats, breaks and vocals ranging from hip-hop/R&B, retro, classics and even rock.
