I'm that girl...the one who can look homely or fabulous depending on how much work I put into it. If you know me well enough, you've seen both. I moved out to Colorado two years ago and love it, but sometimes still get homesick for Nebraska. I'm a single mom who's never really "single" because I have so many great family and friends in my life. My son is probably the best thing that's ever happened to me, although he drives me crazy about once a day. He's brilliant and perfect and I swear I'm not biased. I hate admitting that I secretly kinda-sorta like working out, although most of my life I've hated the gym. If I set a goal, I'll do everything I can to make it happen. Sometimes, I'm way to honest. I'll try anything once. Most everyday I'm humbled in some way by my stupidity. I love to cook, but I'm pretty bad at it. Still....I love working at a software company even though it makes me kind of a nerd, everyday is different and most are good. I tend to overuse exclamation marks. A LOT! I love skiing, hiking and hanging out with Cael. He's great at soccer and is probably the next David Beckham. Seriously. I lean on my friends a lot and have a tendency to shop when I'm stressed. Some people say I'm a bad driver. They're probably right. I've gotten about an average of 5 hours of sleep a night ever since high school because I believe you have to make the most out of every day. My greatest fear is not realizing my potential and not doing something about it. I'm pretty much a bleeding heart and if you're in need...I'll go to bat for ya. I'm in grad school full time, focusing on Public Administration. It's kind of boring work, but fascinating in many ways. I have amazingly bad luck, and incredibly great luck all at the same time. It makes for a bit of drama most everyday in my life ... but Im always rewarded somehow and it's usually a good story that I'll be happy to share if you just ask!
