I began my career in the music industry as a founding member (and manager), of the musical group, The Happenings, so long ago that most of you reading this right now weren’t even a twinkle in your daddy’s eye yet.Than I became tour manager for Rare Earth and then tour manager for Alice Cooper during Alice's most formidable years ('School's Out', 'Billion Dollar Babies', etc ). I learned a lot of shit during that time mostly from guys like Shep Gordon and Jonny Podell. This enabled me to open the David Libert Agency, and represent George Clinton, Parliament -Funkadelic, Bootsy's Rubber Band, The Runaways (Joan Jett, Cherie Currie, Lita Ford), just to name a few.Today I run Available Entertainment , a personal management company that over the last 10 years has managed George Clinton, Living Colour, Tomi Rae Brown, Brian Auger, The Dead Boys, Vanilla Fudge, Cherie Currie and Sheila E., many of whom I still manage today. I still spend time in the studio. Right now, I’m producing a Blues album for Tomi Rae Brown and it is turning out GREAT! Can't wait for the world to hear it!
I went to San Francisco to attend the Summer of Love 40th Anniversary with legendary Hammond B-3 organist, Brian Auger. It was held in Golden Gate Park and over 100,000 people showed up. I made a little video:
