About Me

Check out this other social networking site, Virb. It's pretty smooth. I'm a ham. I crack jokes whenever I see an opportunity, and sometimes that can be a bad thing. I get out of hand and say something offensive once in a while. But oh well, it's all in good fun. I'm a trustworthy friend; I trust my friends and I hope they trust me. I can be kinda' weird sometimes too, referencing Star Wars and other movie quotes. All in all though, I'm a cool guy (at least that's what they say). ;)

My Interests

Basically, I'm into having a good time with friends and pursuing fantastical and scientific knowledge and enjoyment at home. In other words, I hang with my homies alot, but when I'm home I read about cool things like how things work, why the sky is blue, etc. I also watch DVDs and read novels in my spare time. I like anime and comics. I also like surfin' the web and chattin' with friends online. Oh yeah, I also play the piano, but I'm lazy when it comes to practicing. :P

I'd like to meet:

Hmmm... Who would I like to meet? Or what type of people do I like to meet? To answer the first question I think fame is irrelevant. I mean, everyone has talents, put only a select few are recognized for them. I respect them for that, but when it all comes down to it people like Jennifer Anniston and Madonna share the same emotions, faults, and attributes as any old average Joe. So what I'm trying to say is I don't really care about meeting someone famous unless I wanted to meet them just cause they seemed cool and were right there for me to meet... but then again they'd never have time for me and just see me as another fan out of millions. Now, after all that rambling, the second question: What type of people do I like to meet? Well, for starters, I like my friends to be upbeat, positive, honest, loyal, and have a sense of humor; pretty much a cool guy or gal I can confide in and have a good time hanging out with them. I would want a girlfriend to have similar qualities. I want a girl that is smart, witty, enjoyable to hang out with, charming, outgoing, honest, loyal, and attractive of course. ;) I don't want my girl to hide anything from me. I'd rather hear the cold hard truth than have some hidden issue that festers inside. Loyalty is also a big factor as well. I want to be able to trust my girl and know that she would do anything for me, just as I'd do anything for her. You gotta be an awesome friend as well were we can let the good times roll.

Music:

If you haven't heard of the band Squirrel Nut Zippers go out and buy their "Best of" CD right now! You won't regret it. Now, as far as the "types" of music I like, it pretty much goes like this: If it's a cool song, I like it. My tastes span all genres of music. From swing to rock, rap to classical, it's all there. My more prevalent genres: electronica, rock, metal, funk, industrial, swing, classical.Currently on my iPod: Ace of Base, Beastie Boys, Bee Gees, Black Eyed Peas, Blind Guardian, BT, David Wayne, Depeche Mode, Gorillaz, Grand National, Hans Zimmer, In Flames, Incubus, Jamiroquai, K.M.F.D.M., Linkin Park, Lucia, Nightwish, Nine Inch Nails, Oakenfold, Outkast, Queen, Squirrel Nut Zippers, t.A.T.u., Weezer, and World of Warcraft.

Movies:

There are lots of awesome movies out there! Of course there are the classics that every self-respecting citizen should watch: "Star Wars," "Indiana Jones," "Back to the Future," etc. But there are also very good new movies like "The Last Samurai," "Big Fish," and "Napoleon Dynamite." I know, those are kind of old for movie standards, but I haven't been to the theaters for a while. Anyways, this is far from conclusive and some of those aren't even my very favorites, but hey, there are so many good movies out there how can I list them all? I also like good anime movies like Miyazaki's films: "Howl's Moving Castle", "Princess Mononoke", and "Porco Rosso". If you haven't seen an anime movie, check out "Princess Mononoke". Who knows, you might like it.

Television:

I don't really watch TV. I find that it is mostly a waste of time. I just purchase series on DVD and watch what I want to watch when I want. Anime: Currently watching Robotech: The Masters.

Books:

Comics: Batman, The Ultimates, Fables, Marvel Knights 4Graphic Novels: Bone, Blankets, FlightBooks: The Bible, The Book of Mormon, Dracula, Frankenstein, David Copperfield, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings

Heroes:

There are heroes all around us. Whenever someone commits a kind act like helping a child find his mother or even opening the door for someone, they are being heroic in a sort of way. As Aunt May said in Spiderman 2, "I belive there is a hero in all of us." ;) We just have to unleash that potential.
