Michael T. Baro’s family is no stranger to the music industry. His cousins are Vicki Winan, which is a gospel singer that has embraced everyone with her vocal sounds, along with R&B sensation Mario Winan which has gone on to sign with P.Diddy’s label BadBoy Records. His uncle is also an opera singer that has sung with the greats like Shirley Caesar and has appeared on television shows around the world including Mr. Rodgers.
Being from New York, Michael quickly adapted a keen ear for good music. While attending college at Robert Morris University in Pennsylvania he joined JHN Promotions where he went to different events, handed out flyers, and took pictures to post on their website. This gave him the desire to want to do something for himself and not just for others; that how TuTone Entertainment was created.
After starting his new company he landed an internship at 456 Entertainment in New York City. 456 Entertainment was started by Carson Daly (M.T.V.’s T.R.L.) and John Rifkand (Loud Records). As the former host of T.R.L. Carson Daly has developed strong relationships within M.T.V. and has gone on to host his hit TV show on NBC called, “Last call with Carson Dalyâ€. John Rifkand made his name in the music industry when he and his brother (Steve Rifkand) started Loud Records and a marketing and record label called SRC. Loud Records became one of Hip-Hop’s most influential labels ever, releasing CD’s and launching the careers of Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, M.O.P., Dead Prez, Big Pun, Funkmaster Flex, Xzibit, Three Six Mafia, Krazie Bone, Tha Liks, and others. After interning for a short amount of time, 456 Entertainment gave Michael the title of Director of Urban A&R/Marketing where he still resides today.
Michael continues to grow his business and build strong relationships within the music industry so he can uplift music as it stands and become a major forefront for the next generation of music excellence.
