Cool A.D. was raised in the Bronx, NY. On his sixth birthday his uncle started teaching him how to deejay. Not long after he started, he began spinning small parties and went under the name of D.J.Cool A.D. By the year 1985 he started deejaying with the legendary Afrika Bambaataa and the Zulu Nation.
1990 was a big year for D.J.Cool A.D. that is when he won his first of six consecutive annual deejay battles and started really getting big in the clubs. It was because of those battles he met his mentor, who was one of the guest judges and none other than "Kool DJ Red Alert". Red invited Cool A.D. down to the radio station he used to work at, on numerous occasions. DJ Cool A.D. met many people in the programming department at that station and became the youngest employee on that stations payroll. This is also the time that DJ Cool A.D. realized his passion for radio. In 1994, he graduated from high school and started attending and studying broadcasting at Five Towns College, while doing many radio guest appearances at WNYU, WRKS, WBLS, and WLIU just to name a few.
In December 1994 he started working for Joey D's Entertainment Plus as a mobile and club disc jockey, which allowed him to play every Friday night at all of the major clubs in Long Island, doing live broadcasts from clubs on Party 105.3 FM and WBLI.
In the year 1996 He decided to expand his talents to a whole new market, when he started playing cruise ships from all over the world. It was also that time aboard ships when he perfected his current specialty which is HOUSE MUSIC. He was a big headliner for raves and underground parties worldwide which made him have to make up 2 new names: 1-Adam S. and 2-DJ CAD "if you look good enough you'll see that the name CAD is still Cool A.D.". He was living life like no one else, he was successful and headlining in 4 different markets of mixing at the same time(Hip-Hop, House, Luxury Cruise Ship and Mobile). He had to use new names for two reasons: 1-To keep DJ Cool A.D. known to the world as a Hip-Hop DJ & 2-He had to have a name that fits his new House Music Market. At that that time, he hooked up with and started playing with Hector Cruz Founder of "House Nation". In the year 1998 he started Flying Over New York Entertainment, a full service entertainment company. Only 1 year later he started FONYE Radio, which is now the number 1 internet radio station in the world
Finally in December 1999 he returned home to NY to bring in the millennium at a brand new, hott club in Smithtown, Long Island by the name of Napper Tandy's, when he was given the official title of New York's Premier Night Club Experience.
