I'm not really into rap music, but this song spoke to me.
And of course, there's the sequel...
I'm thinking of becoming a film producer. You should check this out, too. The 1 Second Film . Maybe if you're interested, and you donate, you can mention my name as referring you, and I can become a producer without even donating money. I wonder if they'd appreciate the irony of an open-source producer. Besides, how often do you get to claim that you've collaborated with Kevin Bacon, Steve Colbert, and many other celebrities on a film project?
I'm interested in everything, but rarely have the initiative to do anything unless someone else plans it for me. I was going to join the army, but all of the commercials said it was looking for leaders, and quite frankly, I'm more of a follower-type.
I'd like to meet:
The person reading this over your shoulder.
The woman who can make me feel the way I do every time I hear this song...
My own Delilah...
Eventually, I'd like to find me...
WOW!!
Ummm... this is probably going to go down as the most important invention in the history of mankind as a hunting and gathering society. This is revolutionary stuff. Check it out
here . Of course, you may want to check out
this innovative item , as well. Necessity truly is the mother of invention.
Music:
I find that I am most drawn to singers whose range I can sing along with without sounding like an elephant fart, which is pretty hard to do - the range emulation, not an elephant farting - because I can't sing. I also have a weakness for bands with chick lead singers, or just chicks who can sing - and yes, even Kelly Clarkson has made cameos on my IPod. Really, though, I like most music if I listen to it enough.
Movies:
I'm just like everyone else, except people who, ironically, get paid to review movies - I like movies that entertain me. Movies don't have to be deep, or have plausible plotlines, or even have any character development in them to be entertaining. Of course, I enjoy those kinds of movies, too, but really, anyone that can't laugh at a movie like Old School or Anchorman is either dead, or is just really confused from trying to figure out their medicare prescription drug plan.
Television:
Anything in HD. Most TV shows these days are pretty crappy. It seems that only stupid people have nielsen boxes, so only stupid TV shows stay on the air, and everything I like ends up being cancelled. That being said, I like to watch anything written by Aaron Sorkin, Arrested Development, Rome, Deadwood, The Black Donnellys, Family Guy, Futurama, Scrubs, and The Office. Recently, I've gotten into 24, House, Bones, The Class, and How I Met Your Mother (Doogie's character is hilarious - or as he would say, "Awesome"). The HD Discovery Channel is amazing. The regular Discovery Channel has some good shows, too. The show on the migration of the wilderbeast and the one on the dungbeetle are two of my all-time favorites. The History Channel. And of course, Battlestar Galactica on Sci-Fi is great.
Books:
Historical fiction. Science fiction. History books. 19th Century British and American literature. Oh, and of course, one of my favorite books ever - Watership Down - which you may remember was turned into an animated film for children. There are some pictures from the film on this page , which brings back a lot of memories. Of course, if you ever watched this movie as a child, you probably were traumatized by the climactic scene at the end. Here's a good compilation of clips set to Marilyn Manson's version of "Sweet Dreams".
Admittedly, my reading for pleasure has been suffering of late, and I probably haven't even heard of the books most people are reading these days.
Heroes:
People who still honor the social compact. Mothers and Fathers who constantly strive to give their kids a better life.
This Pryjma (as pictured here ).
The "Jesus" all of the athletes thank, although I sure wish he could have hooked me up with some skillz.
