I have set up this site in memory of my GrandMother Fran Farley (nee McElwayne), 58, whom passed away Monday, February 18, 2008 following a brief battle with Cervical Cancer.
She was born Nov. 8, 1949, in Gassaway, W.Va. Grandma attended and graduated from Clearview High School in Lorain, Ohio as well as attended Lorain Business College.
She enjoyed going to church, singing, decorating, gardening, loved cats and dogs and most of all spending time with her 3 grandchildren.
Grandma was the baby of 4 children; she had 2 older brothers (Tom & Ed) and a sister (Edna).
Grandma only had one child my Mom (Tracee).
Grandma is now with her Dad Henry and Mom Maggie, My Grandpa Earl and Grandpa Bob and many others that have passed. Until we meet again. I will miss you more than you know.
Memorial Card from Funeral Service - When I am Gone.
When I am gone, remember I am with Jesus.
Do not mourn because I have passed away.
Life holds so many grief's and disappointments,
And you will cry because I did not stay?
It is only for a spell that we must be apart.
Not many years on this earth we are given.
And when my Savior tells me you are coming,
I will go with him and welcome you to heaven.Grieve not because the eyes that looked upon you
shall never see your face on earth again, but
rejoice because they look upon the Savior who
gave His life to ransom sinful men.Weep Not because I walk no longer with you.
Remember I am walking streets of gold.
Weep for yourself that you for awhile must stay,
Before our blessed Lord may behold.
Cervical Cancer is called the Silent Killer because in many cases the signs and symptoms do not appear until the cancer is in the late stages. The good news is that there is effective treatment for cervical cancer, as long as it is detected early. Go get your Pap Test! Be One Less!
