About Me

I was born in Hawaii and lived my childhood on Oahu. Nowhere in this world makes me feel like I do when I am on the island, although I now consider Sonoma County "home". I moved to Northern Cali after high school. After about a year I met my HUSBAND, Ryan. We were finally married September 30, 2006 =). I have lived many places in my life but have found my home with him! It wouldn't matter where we moved, as long as we were together. I am a virgo and consider myself to be an honest person and loyal friend. I do not believe in telling lies, no matter how little. I strive not to judge people because you don't know what they are dealing with in their own lives. I am far from perfect! I am a terrible speller but have good gramar. I am blessed with some truly wonderful friends. I think part of how we are defined as adults is by looking at the character and quality of people you choose to share you life with. This is one thing I am aware of. I love fashion and believe strongly in retail therapy! I look forward to being lazy on Sundays with my love, Ryan and our kitties. "Oh happy day!" I also like to cook... the more garlic the better! I am very close with my family and Ryan's. I have a beautiful baby sister, Britt, who is 21!!! She lives in OC with my parents. My Mom is in the battle of her life with breast cancer but the overwhelming support of others and her faith in our Lord will help her beat this demon! My little brothers, Dusty (10) and Chazz (5) live in Hawaii with my other dad and step mom. The majority of Ryan's family lives here. I am not a tree hugger, but strongly believe we can all do our part to stop global warming and take better care of our planet. And I will say hello to a stranger if I pass them on the street. I fear "respecting our elders" is dying with our generation and still make children use their manners around me. I look forward to the political changes ahead and hope we as a nation can start thinking out of the box! I have many Blessings in my life and try not to take them for granted!

My Interests

My husband and I have invested in a new company called Zrii. It is an Ayurvedic drink which has been developed by combining six select herbs and botanicals that together completely unlock the potency of the amalaki fruit. My passion for this new product stems from trying to find a rejuvenating superfood to aid my mother through her journey with breast cancer and chemo. If anyone is interested in this product or financial opportunity, please let me know. I also enjoy Dancing, dj-ing, scrap booking (no I'm not 80), loving on my friends kids, reading, traveling, exercise (sometimes, others it is forced willed) cooking, eating sushi, drinking red wine!!!

I'd like to meet:

Oprah, Lisa Ling, Julia Styles, Rachel Ray flowers layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com

Music:

I like a lot of music! Hip hop, pop, some rap, country and Christian. I don't like trance and can only handle a few minutes of house. I really like 80's and 90's!!!! I love to listen to people, like my hubby, mix well...no train wrecks please! Some of the new dance styles out there, (if you can call it dancing) like the whole "go stupid' thing is not really my style but sure is interesting to watch...all these bay area boys up here are crazy!

Movies:

Dirty Dancing, Titanic (watched it 52 times) and Pearl Harbor The Notebook, Hope Floats National Treasure, Grease, The Sound of Music, Annie, Divine Secrets of the Yah-Yah Sisterhood and Save The Last Dance. Anything with Reise Whitherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Tom Hanks, John Travolta, Matt Damon and/or Mark Wahlberg. I love war movies for some reason.

Television:

I'm a junkie! Oprah, COPS, 24, October Road...I watch too much TV, I know! It gets worse....Days Of Our Lives!!!! Prison Break, Grey's Anatomy, 30 Minute Meals, AI, So You Think You Can Dance, My Name Is Earl (Oh snap), Till Death, and all the "Trauma in the ER" shows. I love TLC, John and Kate +8 and all the wedding shows. Discovery Health and the History channel. I also watch a few shows on Animal Planet. And of course I watch Lost! (it is filmed on the island I'm from!)

Books:

Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons, A Walk To Remember, The Notebook, Wedding (sequal to "The Notebook") and other books by Nicholas Sparks, Nora Roberts books, The Devil Wears Parada and P.S. I Love You (the book is way better than the movie), Granny Dan and The Kiss. Currently reading Mixed Blessings.

Heroes:

My Mother who is recovering from a double mastectomy. Brest cancer can't have her, I still need her! The strength it takes to walk out of your house with no hair and hold your head up hihg is something I strive for. Her courage and beauty is inspiring! I can't wait to tell my children what a strong woman their grandmother is. All the brave men and women in the military who are serving and protecting our country! Whatever my personal stand on this war is, I gratefully support our troops! And of course our police officers and firemen and women! But, most important my Dad...He is the best man I have ever known. When he married my mom he gladly became a father to a 6 year old! He says he fell in love with us both =) He is a warrant officer in the United States Coast Gaurd. He spent most of his carrer as a rescue swimmer, saving countless lives. To me, he is my personal "Guardian"! Everybody says you tend to marry a man with strength and character like your father and for me, that is so true. I couldn't be luckier!
