i study with a great performer who does his records in the church of my town,and become a valid performer especially attracted by Bach and Frescobaldi.
But my love for rock made me put up a band in the '80 called Rama Dama in which i play keyboards,and starting play guitar (as a self-teached...)
we perform a lot of gigs before win an european competition which give us possibility to release an album and make a national tour.
the band stop after 10 years of activity and i begin to study guitar seriously,even by myself, and after with my friend Andrea Caneparo (check his page,is worth...).
i was then part of an italian Judas Priest tribute band as lead guitarist,and it was an amazing experience because Judas Priest are one of my favourite bands.and believe me,their stuff is hard to play cause a lot of harmony parts !
my primary influences are Uli Jon Roth,Zeno Roth,Randhy Rhoads,Kee Marcello,and then i discovered the fantastic Helge Engelke which fit perfectly on my playstyle.Another great influence in my composing is M° Ennio Morricone,world known soundtrack composer,his work inspired me many times and i thank him for this.
in these years i release 2 pieces for an italian shredder compilation, wich one is NIGHTSONG you can hear on my profile and a cover of my favourite Scorpions song PICTURED LIFE (strange ...a uli jon roth song...:) ) where i perform on vocals too.
in the latest 5 years i develop also my singing skills with my great friend Eleonora Mello, a great singer. i am inspired by Michael Kiske and Michael Flexig and also from Tommy Heart.
actually i am at work to write and record my first solo CD with the monicker of Rex Ashwind, the title will be THE HOUSE OF DOLLS.So, this is Alessio in brief, i hope you enjoy my music, but at first i hope to meet new musician friends to talk and share experiences for growin' up and up and up.Loving all of You !!kisses and hugsAlessio A.K.A Rex Ashwind
