Tina Angotti

About Me

Influenced by a wide range of rock, folk, and R&B music, Tina’s greatest inspiration comes from the raw power of a pure voice and the stirring capacities of word and melody to grab at our core and move us to another place and time. Her artistic philosophy embraces the idea(l)s that music is a tool which heals, empowers and bridges the sometimes too wide gap between individuals. Her successful debut CD entitled "Mirror" is a lyrical reflection of the movements and moments of her own life. Her listeners are “knocked out” by her “mesmerizing” “uncluttered” sound and delight in the “natural intensity and strength” of both her lyrics and vocals---“edge without anger.”Tina began her music career in Chicago, playing and opening shows for her brother, Phil Angotti. Propelled into the spotlight, she found herself at home as a critically acclaimed soloist. In addition to her live performances in Chicago and Phoenix, Tina’s music is currently being played on radio and tracks from Mirror have been selected for compilation CDs which have been distributed and featured on radio programs across the states and in Europe. Tina performed on various live TV programs in Phoenix and was featured on the morning television show, Good Morning Arizona. She shared the stage with Julia Fordham for a rendition of “Manhattan Skyline” during Julia’s concerts in Phoenix and LA. Tina was awarded Best Solo Female Artist in the Dream to Reality Awards. Her song, “Not Making Sense” has won several awards including best song in the Songlounge.com songwriting contest. Tina was selected and performed in New York City at Madison Square Garden at the New York International Music and Film Festival.Perhaps the most compelling reason for her success is the astounding strength and range of her pure voice, intimate and familiar to the ear but different from all the rest...
