Prolifik

With today’s Hip-Hop scene being predominately controlled by Southern flavor beats and catchy dance crazes, Prolifik is a breathe of fresh air combining the feel of club beats, with consistent and quality lyrical content. Not limiting himself to one style or sound has helped him grow as an artist tremendously within the past year.Prolifik began his career in High School as a hobby, but it quickly became a part of his life that he would never push to the side. Once in college, things began to pick up. Instead of recording on his home computer, he began to go to professional studios and get to work on his early material. While recording over 70 tracks for his first release “Trilogy”, only 14 were used and there was never a major push for the album. After building Insite Studios in his basement, he soon met up with Simply Put and began work on projects other then his own. Now, 4 years removed from the person he used to be, he has developed himself into one of the best-unsigned artists in the New England area.Due is his upcoming sophomore album titled “Heart of A Champion”, which will be released on August 2nd, 2007. Heart of A Champion not only brings the “feel good” music people like to hear, but also tracks which discuss relationships, and everyday problems people are faced with. After being pushed back for a year due to Prolifik being a perfectionist, he has recorded over 100 tracks for the release. This is a must get album of 2007 and only one of many projects to come from this artist. With a sound that is similar to none, and a work ethic that is unmatchable, there’s no telling when this up and coming emcee will explode into the mainstream and never look back.
