ACE FINCHUM DRUMZ!! Ex Tigertailz,Angelwitch....

SINCE THE AGE OF 16,AFTER SEEING HIS FIRST LIVE ROCK CONCERT...UFO IN 1979,OXFORD,ENGLAND.ACE FINCHUM WANTED TO BE A MUSICIAN. ALTHOUGH AT THE TIME,HE COULDNT PLAY AN INSTRUMENT,IT WAS THE DRUMS THAT REALLY RESONATED WITH HIS SOUL. AND SO IN 1980, THE TRUE LOVE AFFAIR BETWEEN ACE AND ROCK N ROLL DRUMMING BEGAN.LEARNING TO PLAY QUO,UFO,DEEP PURPLE AND RUSH FOR HIS VERY FIRST AUDITION WITHOUT A KIT!! HIS PURE OBSESSION FOR MUSIC GAVE HIM THE DETERMINATION TO OVERCOME THIS MINOR DETAIL...AND HE WAS SUCCESSFUL............. WITH GREAT SUPPORT FROM HIS FAMILY,ACE'S DREAMS BEGAN TO UNFOLD...WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF A BAND CALLED CRASH K.O IN 1982.ALTHOUGH THE BAND FAILED TO ACHIEVE THE LOFTY HEIGHTS OF FAME AND FORTUNE,IT FED HIS DRIVE AND HUNGER FOR MORE.BUT IT WASNT TILL 1984,WITH A MOVE TO COLORADO,USA.....THAT REALLY CHANGED THE COURSE OF HIS LIFE,AND OPENED UP A WHOLE NEW WORLD OF MUSIC AND LIFESTYLE.MEANWHILE.........BACK IN THE U.K... A BAND CALLED TIGERTAILZ WAS BORN,WITH EX CRASH K.O MEMBER, STEEVI JAIMZ ,LANDING THE JOB OF FRONTMAN.HIS PHONE CALL TO ACE IN COLORADO TO COME BACK AND JOIN THE BAND WOULD BE THE TURNING POINT IN HIS CAREER AND WOULD CATAPULT HIM INTO HIS OWN WORLD OF ROCKSTAR HEAVEN!!! THE BAND PLAYED SHOWS AROUND EUROPE AND THE UK,PROMOTING THEIR DEMO,AND AFTER PLAYING 2 SOLD OUT NIGHTS AT LONDONS MARQUEE CLUB- THE BAND SIGNED TO MUSIC FOR NATIONS.(who also had Poison,Mettalica and Stryper at the time ) 1987...YOUNG AND CRAZY WAS RELEASED......After the departure of Steevi jaimz,and the arrival of Kim Hooker the band re-recorded the song “Livin’ without you” the B sides were “Nine Livez” and “For a Few Dollarz more”.They toured Germany and the Uk with the new lineup; and even landed a spot supporting UFO( the band that had started Ace on this adventure in the first place!) creating a large following throughout Europe. Tigertailz then went back into the studio to record their follow up album.The second album would be titled “BEZERK” which was recorded in Jan-Mar 1989.It was officially released on March 1990.

..........BEZERK was the most commercially successful album, and time period for Ace with Tailz. “Bezerk” was a UK chart hit reaching number 36. The “Bezerk” album spawned several singles, “Heaven” (UK top 40), “Love Bomb Baby” and “Noise Level Critical”. The band also released a live video called “Bezerk: Live 1990” which reached number 5 on the UK charts.IN 1991 ACE AND TIGERTAILZ PARTED COMPANY...ALTHOUGH IN 1992 PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED B-SIDES WERE TO APPEAR ON ANOTHER ALBUM CALLED BANZAI...RELEASED BY SONY IN JAPAN.BOTH BEZERK AND BANZAI HAVE SINCE BEEN REMASTERED AND RELEASED BY SANCTUARY RECORDS IN 2005...
