My name is Stefani. I am a mom to 2 beautiful children who are battling Primary Immunodeiciency Disease. It has been a long journey for us but we have come so far with the support of our friends and family.
My dear friend Jennifer and her family in the course of one month had their lives turned upside down.
Lily, Jennifer's niece, woke up one morning with the side of her face swollen. After trips back and forth to doctors, they finally had an answer...it was not one they ever imagined they would hear....Lily has 4, group 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma Undifferentiated (Lily has Cancer).
It had been confirmed that she had cancerous lymph nodes behind her lungs and in her pelvis in addition to the two previous tumors found in her cheek and neck.
On Monday - February 25th, 2008 she was admitted for a week to Children's to begin chemo and radiation treatment. Course of treatment was set for 54 weeks or more in 6-8 week sessions with an evaluation every 6 to 7 weeks.
Subsequent testing this past fall has shown a retreat of the cancer - not remission yet - but she is FIGHTING and she is SLOWLY ridding her body of the cancer....GO LILY!!!
Lily has been in the fight of her life - NOTHING on this journey for her has been easy....and NOTHING on this journey for Lily's family has been easy either. Lily is a FIGHTER - she is the ESSENCE of what a TRUE WARRIOR is.
We know that this road is far from over....and we continue to ask you all to pray for Lily and her family during this time of need.....and we are THANKFUL for EVERY SINGLE PRAYER, KIND WORD, and OFFER OF SUPPORT....Lily's family has been truly blessed and surrounded by amazing people (in person and via the internet).
The purpose of this page is to provide Lily and her family a source of support, encouragement, Hope and community so that they can travel this uncertain road with a group of amazing friends and warriors by their side.
