Konkrete Jungle NYC History
Most likely anyone who's a member of this community got their start here, whether it be dancing, djing, promoting, etc. Cassien, SoulSlinger, Delmar, King Panik, Darkstar and Dara were my original residents DJ's that inspired much of the population who run NYC D/N/B today.
Through toil, sweat, and their own finances (sometimes dipping into their savings to keep things running) Mac and Kathe MacFarlane began and with the help of Helen Doyle and Michael "Mykey" Conley maintained what would ultimately be the longest consistently-running weekly Jungle/Drum and Bass event in the world.
From the massives at Twilo and the Brooklyn Bridge Anchorage to the intimate settings of Coney Island High, Wetlands, and now the Pyramid, Konkrete has seen and done it all.
