[5]art :: SUMMER GROUP SHOW :: Call for Submissions
[5]art invites you to submit artwork for consideration in this year's all-media SUMMER GROUP SHOW. This exhibition runs from Friday, June 19, 2009 through Friday, July 10, 2009 with an Opening Reception on Friday, June 19, 2009 from 7-10pm. Gallery hours are by appointment. Admission is free but donations are greatly appreciated. Select works will also be featured on the [5]art website, www.five-art.com and a Mini Color-Zine.
:: ENTRY INFORMATION ::
ELIGIBILITY: The exhibition is open to all artists, national and international, working in all media. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and digital/graphic art are eligible.
ENTRY FEE: There is non-refundable $10 entry fee for three digital image files; $5 for each additional file. Submit as many works as you wish. Make your check or money order in US funds, payable to five-art, inc.
SUBMISSION FORMAT:
Through the Post: All images should be submitted digitally on a CD or DVD in JPEG format. Images should be sent through the post with a submission form and entry fee to: [5]art c/o T. Hampton Dohrman 1813 E. 18th Avenue Tampa, FL 33605 The postmark deadline for submissions and fees is: Friday May 1, 2009.
Email Submissions: All images should be submitted digitally in JPEG format to [email protected] accompanied by your submission form. Entry fees should be sent via Pay Pal to the same email address. To ensure that your submission is sorted properly and reviewed please included " SUMMER EXHIBITION SUBMISSION / your name" In the subject line of the email. The digital submission deadline for images and submissions fees is: Friday May 8, 2009 6:00 PM
NOTIFICATION: Artists will be notified of acceptance or decline no later than Monday May 18, 2009. Notification will be made via e-mail. Accepted works must be received by [5]art by Monday June 1, 2009.
COMMISSION: There will be a 30% commission on any sales made during the exhibition or from the web site.

[5]art presents: Five + 5
[5]art once again presents Five + 5, a group show featuring unframed works on paper from [5]art-affiliated artists and five additional guest artists. This second installment of the exhibition will debut in the new [5]art venue in Tampa at the West Tampa Center for the Arts. The exhibition will then travel to Young Blood Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia, Twist Gallery in Nashville, Tennessee and finally, Gallery 25 in Fresno, California.
This year, the exhibition includes work from artists Ariel Baron-Robbins, Cameron Brian, Joe Griffith, Robbie Land, Diran Lyons, Tracy Midulla Reller, Kurt Piazza, Ruth Santee, Jasmine Schurrer, and Atsushi Tameda.
The [5]art Opening Reception for FIVE + 5 will be held on March 6th, 2009 from 7pm till 10pm at 1906 N . Armenia Ave. #210 Tampa, FL 33607 with light Hors d'oeuvres including complimentary drinks served and provided by Cigar City Brewing.
The event is free and open to the public but donations are greatly appreciated.
Gallery hours by appointment. Classes and groups are encouraged and welcomed.
