About Me

"Bernadette O'Grady is a singer-songwriter from Northern Ireland, who has been based in Wales for the last 11 years. She began performing whilst living in New York and has been writing her own songs for 10 years. Her material ranges from observational storytelling folk, with subtle witticisms, to more reflective songs, performed with honest emotion. Bernadette gave a live performance and interview with Mal Pope on The Evening Show (BBC Radio Wales, 11.04.08). Her own song 'Dead Man's Shoes' and her cover version of Bob Dylan's 'Don't Think Twice' also received airplay on the show (04.04.08 / 18.04.08). Bernadette supported renowned Welsh Jazz singer, LLeuwen Steffan, at Aberystwyth Arts Centre (29.06.08). More recently she performed at Tenby Folk Festival (Caffe Vista, 24.08.08 & Tenby Rugby Club, 25.08.08), and Aberystwyth Acoustic Platform (Aberystwyth Arts Centre, 07.09.08)", Rob Tiernan (RT Productions).
