Sounds Like: The 17 pieces that constitutes Grieg´s op. 72, "Slåtter", are based on authentic, norwegian fiddle-tunes which were collected and sorted by fiddler Knut Johannesen Dahle in the middle of the 19th century. The folk-tunes were re-arranged (transscripted) for piano, and, by so, placed within the classical tradition. "Slåtter" consists by most part of traditional, norwegian dances and bridal marches.
