Sphinx of Riddles

About Me

Sphinx is what I am called and long ago I existed, and devoured many with my riddles. Oedipus who was my doom and the cause of my slewing on the jagged bones of the earth came to such an end himself as was befitting. However, such consequence I did not foresee that I chosen would be as protector of those who have lost warmth. Stand I forever more a Wonder: Guarding the Infinite Ziggurat of Ancient kings. Buried under sand was I and forgotten, till exhumed and stand I once again proudly to my duty. The Ba is the spirit, who houses in the Ka, and flies to its doom when the house is crumbled. The Ba will watch fearfully, as the life is weighed, and more often than not, will be devoured by Ammit the terrible.Oedipus who is the cause of mine slaying, for riddles asked often are guessed more than the occasion should permit. Though I hate him so, one must allow such respect of his wit and the cunning of his mind. The book of the dead contains many spells, invocations, and hymns to those whom deserve them. Chapter thirty of this book details the essence of humanity, a plea to the heart so as they may not be betrayed and fed to Ammit. The Translation is as follows.-----Formula for not allowing the heart of N to be removed from him My heart of my mother, my heart of my mother, my heart of my earthly being Do not stand against me as witness beside the lords of the ritual Do not say against me, he did do it, about my actions Do not make a case against me beside the great god Hail my heart, Hail my heart Hail my entrails, Hail those gods At the fore, tressed, resting upon their sceptres Tell my goodness to Ra, hand me to Nehebkau See him, uniting the earth at the great one within May I endure on earth, not die in the west, and be a blessed spirit there MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Of Ra the most supreme, by whose whim caused I to be defender of those Osiris governs. Forever indebted to he that I should not be lost forever in Chaos.Osiris of the dead, and under his dominion am I. The riddles which I ask shall defend the dead forever from the living. Here he watches as the Jackal headed weighs the drums of life against the instrument of flight of the lightest goddess whose wings e'er beat the air.
