blank stare last breath blood bubble sputter
pouring from my heart and hands
like sacrifice, sweet as saccharin- stands
a monument of weakness is me
cold carved and coarse concrete
it finally falls and crumbles, between my wash of tear drops...and your chest
waterfall walls dropping sweeping my cheek and the skin of your breast
your mirage landscapes burn tired eyes
soft foot hamstring tensile thigh
i smell dawns and days and one thousand goodnights
on your warm inside cool painted soft in dim light
i feel sickness and health, discovery, self
somber, sadness, insecurity melt
forever fireworks exploding in the hollows of your form
that pulsing drum keeping time with mine
knotted with you once again, tangible tangled
we sift through sorrys, i come to you mangled-
by lonliness...stifled and sour
searching for water for dry tongues, light for my flower
long breaths for lungs, song for the smiles
softness for fingers, wings for these miles
searching, starving, sloughing when next to you not
