WARNING! THIS IS NOT TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY!
Previously known as The Atomic Zombies, LA-based Dead White Underbelly resists the tendency to revive these so called sounds of lost generations, unless it brings something new to the table that the people who discovered it obviously weren’t doing right. While admittedly taking influence from vast genres such as psychedelic and progressive rock all the way to punk and metal, this is a group who works hard to accomplish new sounds break new ground in almost everything they create. Constantly in the studio working on ideas and demos the band continues to produce more songs that they will feature on they're sophomore album, due to come out late 2009!
The band is fronted by singer/guitarist Colin S. Clark, an LA native whose bands/projects include Chief Nowhere and has worked with such bands as Innaway, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Quarter After and many others. His creative/artistic partner Delano Hillard, an LA native whose bands/projects include, All Hail The Dames, and In Waves, joins the front line on bass and recorded all the drums of the record. (He Can be heard singing on almost all the songs...), Our newest addition is our good friend Mike Candalot joining us on drums.
So far, Dead White Underbelly has enjoyed a vast degree of progress while still remaining independent. To date, the band has composed music for a couple Independent films and plans to release their first debut album soon. They currently are getting ready to start the summer out right and plan plethora of shows to wet your whistle. Stay tuned for more info and new from the band.
