"Savannah Packard, a Birmingham, Alabama artist, is currently working on her fresh and we hope, addictive debut recording. Unfortunately for us, she's taking her own sweet time in finishing it. Only 18, Savannah says, "I try not to do things half way, especially when it comes to my love-- music. I don't want to just "put something out," I want it to be great from every aspect."Fair enough. Apparently she's one young artist who isn't interested in becoming part of the corporate teen-pop agenda: "Music is in my soul. My music expresses my thoughts and dreams. I am a writer and I want to be known as one. I'm in this for the long haul." I guess that's why Savannah is working with producer Tony Miracle of the ultra-dreamy electronica group Venus Hum.
