King Phil was formed on the spot one night in 2004. Two anonymous friends in the DC area got to reading an interview with the great PHILIP ANSELMO while taking bong hits before a Superjoint Ritual Show.
While one of the CREATIVE TWO smoked bong hits, the other began to read excerpts of a KNAC.COM interview with Phil. As usual, Phil was in rare form, and the second of the CREATIVE TWO put the bong down and commented that Phillip spoke with the command and power of the late Dr. Martin Luther King J.R.
After more bong hits, the CREATIVE TWO assumed the roles of both Dr. King and Phillip Anselmo respectively, with the voice of Anselmo asking the questions, and the voice of Dr. King quoting Philip's answers.
The CREATIVE TWO immediately began reading portions of the interview aloud, and while heading to the SJR show, they set up in the abandoned church down the street to read from the Sacred Interview. Several locals turned up in worship. Soon after, more came. One of them had a tape recorder hidden in his jacket. After the 3 magical acts had been caught on tape, the stranger with the recorder was paid for the tapes and they were given to The CREATIVE TWO, who are bringing them to you now via Youtube.com and MySpace. Graphix were added by the Swamp Rambler's son, and the locals who felt the spirit that night have been kept in touch with by the CREATIVE TWO.
