I ams what I ams and that's all that I ams. I also like spinach. More important is what one believes. I believe that racism and sexism are inseparable partners in crime; that subjugation is subjugation, no matter who does it; that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely; that mean and dumb are a dangerous combination; that the only people who are "damaged goods" are those who did the damage; that authority is NOT truth; that some things are true whether you believe them or not!; that ignorance is NOT bliss. Unfortunate, yes, but it can be overcome with truth - refuse the truth and you choose to be stupid, and we can't fix stupid, now can we?; that those concerned about my salvation might want to worry about their own; that Don Henley stole my heart with "Frail Grasp on the Big Picture;" that Macs are technologically superior to PCs; that people addicted to TV lack vision, creativity, and imagination - and if you can name the parade of contestants from "Survivor" or "American Idol," you're probably addicted. Get Over It!; that skills can be learned and talent is a gift; that love, acceptance, and self-sufficiency are the greatest gifts you can give to a child; that a life without diversity and adversity is the poorest life of all; that those who believe they've cornered the market on ANYTHING might want to walk around the corner; and in the immortal words of the late, great Hunter "Bonzo" Thompson, that "Writing is the flip side of sex - it's only good when it's over."
