Triton is an unsigned talent that has been making waves in the Chicago underground rap scene. Having fewer than 5 years rapping, triton’s rap style has been described as ahead of its time. Raw to the core yet with a twist of melodic, tongue twisting, fast paced rapping, triton is an all around rapper capable of adapting to any track presented to him. When asked about his mission in music, triton’s reply is very simple. “I want to bring back that real shit.” “Music that the hardest mother fuckers in the hood can vibe to.” “But also music that has meaning whereas every day people can relate to.” “I rap about all types of situations.” “I don’t hold back anything.” “I’m not scared of taking it to the next level and let my emotions take over.” “This is the difference, I’m making music, what you hear on the radio is not music.” Born and raised by the vicinity of 24th and Rockwell, much of his music reflects the violent, turbulent times of growing up there. “Many of my songs comprise of shootings, killings, robberies and gang violence. “ It’s hard to be positive when you’re in hell but I take the time and tell it like it is.” “I don’t want kids to hear my music and think it’s cool to gang bang.” “Instead I want them to think twice about it.” As child triton was taken over by the Chicago-Midwest movement that included such acts as Crucial Conflict, Do or Die, Psycho Drama, Newsense, Johnny P and many others. Triton was greatly influenced by this and dreams of one day making Chicago a music capital of the recording industry. His all time favorite rapper and biggest musical influence is the late great Tupac Shakur. When asked about Tupac he describes him as the greatest that ever lived and will ever be. He remembers nights when he would listen to Tupac. When ever he was angry, hurt, or grief stricken, there was always a Tupac song to match the moods he was in. Having collaborated with many underground artist in Chicago, there is much expected in the near future for triton. “I have a production team that is cold as hell and rappers that in my opinion make the rest of the industry look like scrubs.” “I surround myself with people like this that way we help each other out. “ It isn’t going to be one hot verse and the rest garbage.” “We’re making classics here!” Look out for Triton in the near future!!!!
