Mend Your Loss started in the beginning of 2008 as a 4 piece metal band, with a drummer, 2 guitarists and a bassist. A vocalist was needed, so we took the first we could catch. The band then started to do some originals. Four months later the drummer was excluded due to some "social" problems with the band-members.
The search for a new drummer started but we kept creating and working on our songs anyway. The "screamer" was expeled from the band due to his lack of commitment to the project. Nevertheless, we finally found the -so wanted drummer- that we were looking for so Carlos was added. With the nonexistence of a singer that could fit in on our musical style Rui had to start singing. The group then worked on adding the drum lines to the songs at the same time we wrote lyrics for them. At this point our musical taste had become more vast, extreme and agressive! Our musical aim changed for a bigger purpose.
In the begining of 2009 Diogo requests to leave because the band wasn't a priority in his life anymore. MYL moved on as one of its founding members left and the very handy.
Cunha joined in.
Right now the band is working on creating some more songs and aiming for innovation. Soon we will hit the studio and hoppefuly start doing more concerts.
