Life is really very sad, or it's very funny. -- Mary Ellen Mark

About Me

..I have just settled into Birmingham after my move from California. I will be starting a Master's course in Photography/Visual Communication at UCE beginning in September. Until then ... I don't really know ... I hope to travel a bit more of Northern England and Scotland before school starts and of course before it gets too cold and rainy. Although its been mostly rainy since I have arrived so I don't know about this weather. I'm trying to find some things that will help to make me feel a little more at home like a clean, inexpensive gym, maybe a gallery/exhibition space with fresh photographers, and I would probably cry at the discovery of a true coffee house/cafe! Its been instant coffee since I have moved ... yuk

My Interests

Photography and photographing lost, forgotten, rearranged, rebuilt, stale, healthy, ordinary, broken, and found places. Good documentaries, travelling (especially across the pond to see David whenever I can), gym, well-written non-fiction and original fiction, stories about life in literature and photography, and especially combined.
