Planet earth is under attack! Not from terrorists or martians from outer space, but from you and me, human beings...mankind!!
We all need to alter the way we live if planet earth is to survive. Take a long hard look at the way you live your life. There..s a fair chance that pretty much everything you do effects our environment in some way. Transport, energy, consumerism, food, leisure, waste etc etc all have an enormous impact on the planet.
An ever increasing amount of people and organisations are talking about these issues and choosing the least harmful options. Even the government are now taking action, bringing in new laws such as the Climate Change Bill and offering advice to us all on how we should live in order to reduce our personal impact.
The most green thing about Redditch is our annual, independent green fair. We celebrate World Environment Day every June, by bringing together a broad range of eco-friendly companies and organisations. The fair is held in and around St Stephens Church in the town centre. The event is organised by the Redditch Alliance of Greens , a broad coalition of local green/ethical groups.
