Formed 96, Been around a bit. Can be viewed at a bar or pub near you!Bio: Scale was formed in March of 1995 in the twin cities of Albury/Wodonga. Originally created as a past time and as a method of laundering drug money by investing in music equipment from it's founding members - Bram Nicholson (vox), Dan Maccioni (guitar), Greg Anderson (bass) and Troy Vonsendon (drums).After a year of playing favorite covers, The band that consisted of friends just 'mucking around', soon noticed that they were getting praise for their own material, and started taking a more serious approach to writing their songs. At the time, due to their environment, the music had a very 'stonner' based groove to it, which over time 'as the band grew more mature both co-jointly and as individuals, so did the song writing, to a more 'tight metal' sound while still maintaining to their 'stoned' roots.Due to the lifestyle, the band was parted from drummer Troy for a while, which in turn introduced Brett Squire to the position which added a new flavor yet again. The band then 'relocated' a bit further south to Melbourne to escape the past and to move on to a fresh chapter.In 2003 Scale released their first E.P 'GROUND' after dumping several previous attempts that didn't capture the sound they were after, which resulted in this long delay of getting anything out. This delay was then enhanced by two of the original members departing ways. A replacement for Brett and Greg were needed and were filled by Lance from the Melbourne trad metal band Steel Affliction, and Rick from the progressive metal band Isolar, the missing ingredients. Scale now have to sound that it was craving over the past 10 years."Heavy Stoner Metal", the sound you get when you slam a rock against a metal tank!2007 the band was finally 'who' it wanted to be and immediately started writing for a full length album which will be released in Feb 2009.
