Elmo, or Britne Cooper, was born at Columbia Hospital for women in 1988. From there she was raised over much of PG County and DC, going to a variety of schools. She met lots of new people, but never made any long lasting friendships. Her only friend was her pen. She began writing poetry at about four years old, nothing concrete at first. But as the years moved on her silly word play evolved into spoken word, and serious rhymes. She started talent shows, and even dibble dabbled in modeling for a while. She has a serious love for music, not just rap, but music. Real music. Her favorite artists range anywhere from Alanis Morrisette and P!nk to Ludacris and Keri Hilson. She aspires to be great. She enjoys writing poetry, writing all of her songs (rapping and singing), drawing, skateboarding, painting, making clothes for her clothing line Beautifully Disturbed©, and she is also currently writing her first novel. This is one female artist you may want to be on the look out for in the years to come.
