Michael Shane

*** Michael Shane grew up listening to Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, and other such Seattle based bands. Which eventually lead to him learning to play guitar and write his own songs. At the age of 23 Michael was diagnosed with Crohn's, but that didn't hold him back at all, he went on with his dream of becoming a musician. The news of the diagnosis made him a stronger person and inspired some of his most personal songs. In addition to writing and performing music Michael is a marathon runner completing the Team Challenge Half Marathon in Miami, Florida January '08 for Crohn's research fundraising. He also has a great interest in astrology and palm reading, as well as alternative energy sources. He now does silk screen print t-shirt for some the bands that perform at his showcases, including The Nashvillian Family Band and the Falcon Lords. In early 2009 Michael joined fellow musician Melissa Ann and formed a band called "I Said, I Said". In the same months Michael opened XI a peformance space/studio on New Street.
