About Me

What about me, huh? What if I don't want to tell you? Actually, I guess that would make this whole myspace thing kind of pointless, so here goes.... I'm an easy going 25 year old guy who loves the outdoors and everything natural. I live in Humboldt County, CA with my girlfriend of nearly 10 years. She teaches 5th grade at a local school and I work on small streams doing fisheries research. I just got accepted to the graduate fisheries program at Humboldt State University and my project is going to deal with using some cutting edge radio freq. identification (RFID) technology to track spawning salmon throughout a local watershed (actually, if you heard about that guy who got mauled by a mountain lion and was saved by his wife... that happened in the same national park I've been working in for the last 2 years, about a half mile away from one of our research areas! But I digress...) I love living on the coast and I'm not sure I'll ever move away. I'd like to buy property here and continue to contribute to the conservation of our natural resources. I love good music of any kind, though I mostly listen to classic rock and underground hip hop. I love beer and drinking it. My favorite beers are: 1) Steelhead Double I.P.A. (Mad River Brewing Co), 2) Steelhead Scotch Porter (MRBC), 3) Steelhead Extra Pale (can you say Pally Ally? MRBC) 4) Organic Amber (Eel River Brewing Co), 5) Celtic Amber (SacBrewCo), 6) 8Ball Stout (Lost Coast Brewery), 7) Torpedo (Sierra Nevada Brewing Co), 8) Mirror Pond Pale (Deschutes Brewing Co) 9) Pabst Blue Ribbon!, and last but not least... 10) SAMUEL JACKSON BEER... take it away Dave ....

Finally, a job that pays!

So I recently got hired on at a local consulting firm in Arcata to do some fieldwork down in Ventura County.  I know they liked my resume, but I think the completely kick-ass cover letter I wrote...
